The Ultimate Pre-Wedding Treatment Guide:

As a Spring 2024 bride, I am down to the wire in terms of treatments that I am doing to get my skin looking its best in time for the big day.

I have had a few people ask me what I am doing to get ready, so I figured I would stop gate-keeping and start sharing my plan that I am doing in the lead up!

January:

Ramping up my skincare routine and getting my 1st hydration facial done.

Getting a more intense skincare routine in place about 5-6 months before your wedding day really ensures your skin is Bridal ready. Upping my retinol usage, exfoliating more and adding in a brightening product are all ways I have upped my routine to ensure I am ready for my BIG day.

The hydration facial is a simple in clinic procedure that aids towards that all around glow. It helps improve the skin’s natural barrier and will be beneficial during the next couple months while I have upped my retinol usage.

Feb:

BBL to aid in reducing pigmentation and increasing collagen overall.

I have had several of these over the years and it’s become a personal favourite of mine in terms of what it does to my skin, so it was a no-brainer that I would want to add this into my treatment regimen in the lead up to my wedding day.

If you have excessive sun damage, a package is highly recommended and you would want to start getting these done about 6-8 months before your wedding, but for those that have been doing these over the years or have minimal sundamage 1-2 in the months leading up to your day can really even out skin tone, boost collagen and give your skin that extra glow.

March:

Filler and Botox

All my patients know I prefer to air on the side of natural with my injectables. I had a full treatment of botox done in December, so doing a treatment in March at the 3 month mark will keep me looking fresh for my big day without looking different. Add in a single syringe of filler as the cherry on top and my injectables are done in time for my wedding. My favorite bridal filler locations are the lip and cheeks - not too much, but a subtle pop to add hydration and allow your lips to be smooth.

April:

Any touch ups needed, a final hydration facial, maintaining my facial skincare and adding in body skincare.

All brides need to be finished with skin treatments 2 weeks before their wedding (that includes touch ups). Doing a final hydration facial works great at giving your skin that drink that it needs and continuing with your skincare routine is recommended while stopping retinol 1 week before the BIG day is a must. No one wants a flaky bride!

Don’t forget body skincare in that final month. Whether your dress is strapless, figure hugging, has a little leg on show or is short, I highly recommend preparing your body for the day during that last month. An exfoliating product with enzymes will aid in ensuring no ingrown hairs or dry skin, while a body smoothing cream aids in hydrating and evening out any lumps and bumps. Careful with clothing and such before to avoid unsightly tan lines and make sure you wear a sunscreen out and about to keep skin perfectly even.

This really is the ultimate pre-wedding day prep. Taking the guesswork out of how to look your best for your wedding day is imperative and this ultimate guide will be sure to meet your needs and requirements and allow you to feel your absolute best!
