What Is diVa?
diVa is the only vaginal laser therapy that uses hybrid fractional laser technology to both resurface the vaginal wall’s layers and trigger the body’s natural healing response. Are you looking for a solution to any of these issues?
- Getting up multiple times per night to use the bathroom
- Wearing a pad just in case you laugh or cough
- Being unable to sit through a movie without using the restroom
- Feeling afraid to exercise because you are concerned about leaking urine
- Making sure you know where the restrooms are whenever you go in public
- Wearing pads or panty liners to be confident you will make it through the day
- Experiencing dryness, itching, or painful intercourse
If you answered YES to any of these concerns, ask our nurses how diVa can improve your quality of life.

When to Consider diVa
For some women, the natural changes from childbirth or menopause can have unwanted effects on the vaginal tissue. This may lead to discomfort and limit the enjoyment of sexual intercourse. This isn’t true for all women, but if you’re concerned about a change in vaginal sensitivity because of tissues stretched by childbirth or menopause‐related vaginal dryness, diVa may be an ideal treatment.
How diVa Works
diVa uses the same hybrid fractional laser technology first developed for Halo™ laser skin resurfacing treatments. diVa works by delivering 2 different laser wavelengths to the treatment area, which Dr. Weiglein and his team of nurses can vary to customize your treatment.
The first laser resurfaces the vaginal wall, replacing it with new, healthier tissue. The second laser heats the tissue, triggering the body’s natural healing response. Because the laser treatment is precisely controlled, the results are uniform and predictable.

What to Expect
A diVa treatment is quick, and most patients experience little to no discomfort during the procedure. In most cases, a treatment takes less than 5 minutes with no anesthetic, although you may request a local anesthetic to numb the area if you would prefer.
You may feel slight pressure on the vaginal wall during the treatment, or increased sensitivity. No downtime is required, although you should refrain from intercourse or any water entering the vagina for 1-2 weeks after the treatment.
A series of 3 treatments, performed a month apart, is usually necessary to get the desired results. Touch‐up treatments at 6‐ to 12‐month intervals may be recommended to help sustain those results for years to come.
Why is diVa better than other therapies on the market?
- Only treatment that protects the cervix
- Only treatment with a disposable handpiece
- No risk of cross contamination
- Comfortable
- Quick treatment
- Guaranteed success
- Even distribution of energy on tissue
