Christmas is gone, the new year sparkle has diminished and winter is officially upon us.
Skincare is on point (thank you Santa!), your botox isn’t due yet and your filler is still fresh from the preplanned appointment before Christmas. But, something is missing, your skin is feeling dull and dry no matter how much you scrub. With the changes in temperatures between being inside and being outside, our faces can feel the brunt of winter weather.
Introducing, the HydraBright Peel.
What is it?
The HydraBright Peel is a treatment that marries both exfoliation and hydration together in one neat little treatment. You’ll start by having an exfoliating treatment, via laser, to the surface layer of the skin. This will eliminate the dead skin cells that sit on top causing our faces to look dull. This will also allow the next portion of the treatment to penetrate into the layers of the skin that need to be addressed. The final step is a serum infusion into the skin, via micro-needling, that will help with hydrating the skin on a deeper level, promote collagen, minimize fine lines and texture and help to thicken up your skin tissue.

What is the downtime?
Most patients have some redness and bumpiness upon leaving the clinic. This is quickly replaced by tightness and dryness from the laser portion that then causes the skin to shed and peel – a bit like when your skin peels from a sunburn. The hydration component can result in leaving small pin-point bruises from the micro-needling device infusing the antiaging serum cocktail, this should last no longer than a few days. Your skin will feel like it is back to normal in a matter of a few days and your results will become apparent 1 week post treatment.
How many treatments do I need?
A great treatment schedule is to do 2 treatments spaced 1 month apart. Following this up with 1 treatment every 6-12 months.
Who is a candidate?
Anyone who experiences dryness, dullness of their skin, wants to target fine texture changes or just wants a facial treatment that actually DOES something. This is the treatment for you.
What do I need to do before my appointment?
Avoid anything that could cause bruising. Patients who take aspirins should plan their appointments accordingly, while those who follow a diet high in green tea, omega’s, vitamin E and ginger should be prepared for bruising or avoid these things in the lead up to their appointment.
Does it replace my filler or botox appointments?
Not at all. This treatment will fit seamlessly into your routine to help boost the results from your filler and botox appointments.
Do I still need to do my skincare routine?
Yes. Please continue to use your skincare routine diligently. We advise patients not to apply retinol in the lead up to their appointment for about a week pre and 2 weeks post. Sunscreen (yep, you heard us) should be applied daily and a hydrating moisturizer is recommended to help with soothing, calming and healing. A great skincare with high quality products from a brand like ZO is essential for maintaining those results.
